The opening stage features groups made up mostly of four squads, although some may include three or five. The top two squads from each group move on to the playoffs, while the remaining participants compete in placement matches.
The champions receive five free accommodation spots for the next edition. The top three squads in each age group are awarded prestigious trophies. Every player receives a commemorative mini trophy, a medal, and a certificate. The Fair Play Award is given to one squad that demonstrates outstanding sportsmanship, while individual honors go to the top scorer and best goalkeeper in each age category.

The cost is specified with full board per person for specified number of nights. Applications from the teams are accepted no later than 42 days before the start of the tournament.
The team must pay for accommodation and meals expenses in the following order:
- 500 € are transferred no later than - 10 days after registration.
- 100% are transferred no later than - 42 days before the tournament starts.
The penalty for cancellation of the team's participation is:
- later than 90 days before the tournament starts - 40% of the full cost of food and accommodation expenses.
- later than 30 days before the tournament starts - 60% of the full cost of food and accommodation expenses.
- later than 10 days before the tournament starts - 90% of the full cost of food and accommodation expenses.

The approximate cost of a transfer from Girona Airport is 18 € per person one way.
The approximate cost of a transfer from Barcelona El Prat Airport is 24 € per person one way.
The approximate cost of all transfers from accommodation to the competition venues is 42 € per person.
