Footmania Tournament is one of the most celebrated youth football events in Portugal, uniting talented players from across the country and beyond. Hosted in Caldas da Rainha—a town renowned for its historical charm and scenic surroundings—the competition promises a memorable experience for both participants and spectators. From exciting matches to the lively local atmosphere, Footmania offers an ideal stage for aspiring squads to shine.
Founded in 2014 as FootMania Oeste, the tournament pays tribute to its roots on Portugal’s western coast. Since its inception, it has grown rapidly into a great football competition, welcoming thousands of footballers and hundreds of clubs. Prestigious opponents such as Atlético Madrid, SL Benfica, and Sporting CP have all graced its pitches, enhancing its reputation.
The competition opens with a group stage, after which the first and some of the second places from the group progress to the playoffs. The top squads then battle it out in a dramatic final, where one participant is crowned champion.
Individual and team achievements are recognised through a range of awards. Every player and coach receives an honorary medal. Special prizes are awarded to the best footballer and the best scorer. Winners receive exclusive trophies, while all squads are acknowledged with a commemorative award. A Fair Play Trophy is presented to the team that best exemplifies sportsmanship and respect.

The cost is specified with full board per person for specified number of nights. Applications from the teams are accepted no later than 60 days before the start of the tournament.
The team must pay for accommodation and meals expenses in the following order:
- 50% are transferred no later than - 120 days before the tournament.
- 50% are transferred no later than - 90 days before the tournament.
- 100% are transferred no later than - 90 days before the tournament starts.
The penalty for cancellation of the team's participation is:
- later than 90 days before the tournament starts - 25% of the full cost of food and accommodation expenses.
