Welcome to the Freixo Femenino Summer Cup, an exhilarating women's football tournament set in the picturesque town of Freixo, Portugal! Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage, this competition unites talent and passion for the game. Beyond the intense matches, players and visitors can immerse themselves in local history, explore scenic nature trails, and savour delicious regional cuisine.
Regulations
Get ready for the Double Points System, where traditional football and beach soccer come together for an exciting twist! Teams will compete in two groups, playing three matches on the pitch and three on the sand, with points from both formats combined. Every squad will advance to the playoffs, leading to an intense final stage that will determine the ultimate ranking.
All participants will be honoured with medals, while the champions in each age category are awarded a trophy. Individual accolades are presented to the best player, top scorer, and best goalkeeper in every age group.

The cost is specified with full board per person for specified number of nights. Applications from the teams are accepted no later than 60 days before the start of the tournament.

Freixo and its surroundings offer plenty to explore, with stunning mountain views and the picturesque Douro River valley. Visitors can take a refreshing swim in the river or enjoy wine tastings at local vineyards. Just an hour’s drive away, the Côa Valley features a fascinating viewpoint and a museum displaying ancient settlements, offering a perfect blend of nature and history.
