Firstly, see the town of Fougères and its main castle: here time seems to have stopped in the 15th century - so beautiful is it, with all its little stone houses and fortress. Naturally, a visit to Le Mont St Michel is a must - the abbey and monastery on the fortified island is world famous. The tides come and go every 12 hours - either way, you'll be amazed by the view of the island and what's on it.
