Find Football tournament
Indoor Leipzig Trophy is held every winter in Leipzig, a major trading city with a variety of architectural and art monuments. Competitions are held in the indoor arena with artificial grass "Egidius Braun", named of the honorary president of the German Football Association Egidiy Braun.
The history of the tournament begins from the last century. In 1990, the construction of a big hall in "Egidius Braun" complex was completed, and the next year the first Indoor Leipzig Trophy was launched. In 2017 the indoor hall was renovated.
Regulations
At first, teams play qualifying games in groups of 4 or sometimes 3 or 5 teams. After that, the 2 best teams play in the Play Off stage, and the rest of the teams play consolation games. The goalkeeper can not take the ball into the hands from a player of his team. The goalkeeper can't move the ball to the opponent half of the field until it touches any player in his own half.
Each team that takes from 1 to 3 place is awarded with the main cup. Other participants receive the small cups, medals and diplomas for participation There is also a Fair Play prize for the best tournament team. The best scorer and the best goalkeeper in each age category are awarded. The winner in each age class will receive 5 free places to stay next year.
