The Edinburgh Cup will meet visitors with dressed up streets decorated especially for the international arts festival and carnival. We invite you to the largest children's football tournament in the UK, which attracts several thousand players from around the world every year! The competition takes place at some of Scotland's finest sporting venues, including the national team's home stadium, Oriam. Edinburgh is transformed in August when circus artists, singers, painters and theater actors perform in the city during the Arts Festival.
The tournament is organised to give kids a few bright days at the competition and in our beautiful city of Edinburgh. Teams of any level can take part in either amateur or professional competitions. We have excellent transport links throughout the city. From the airport or railway station you can get there quickly and cheaply using public buses or trams.
Regulations
Festival participants will play one round-robin in a group. Teams will meet initially in a group competition and play each other in a round-robin system. The top three places from the group then qualify for the Playoffs. The remaining teams continue the tournament in the final round B. In case of a draw in the play-offs, the result of the game will be defined by a penalty shoot-out.
At the end of the competition in each age category, all players will be awarded with a commemorative medal. Those participants who reach the final of the tournament will additionally receive a unique trophy - the Edinburgh Cup. Teams that advance to the consolation final will compete for the Edinburgh Cup plate.

The cost is specified with full board per person for specified number of nights. Applications from the teams are accepted no later than 30 days before the start of the tournament.
The team must pay for accommodation and meals expenses in the following order:
- 10% are transferred no later than - 5 days after registration.
- 40% are transferred no later than - 120 days before the tournament.
- 100% are transferred no later than - 60 days before the tournament starts.
The penalty for cancellation of the team's participation is:
- later than 76 days before the tournament starts - 80% of the full cost of food and accommodation expenses.
- later than 44 days before the tournament starts - 90% of the full cost of food and accommodation expenses.
- later than 34 days before the tournament starts - 100% of the full cost of food and accommodation expenses.

Registration fee is not refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
Arrival on the first day of the tournament is not possible
We offer discounts on various city attractions. Highly recommended is the Camera Obscura and World of Illusions museum, where kids will be taken through five floors of various optical exhibits, a maze and where you can enjoy the view of Edinburgh from the roof. Plus take a very cool journey underground at the Edinburgh Dungeon.
